Andrew Malone advises businesses, investors, entrepreneurs, families and individuals on both planning and litigation matters. He assists his business clients to reach practical solutions for various ownership, management and employment issues. He advocates on their behalf to resolve litigation, by strategic negotiations or trial. Frequently, he handles business and real estate transactions, drafts estate planning documents and represents clients in state and federal courts.
Andrew seeks cost-effective solutions for his business and individual clients to add value to their transactions and various enterprises. He serves as outside general counsel for manufacturing, real estate and software companies. He represents businesses and individuals in trade secret, non-compete and other employment matters. Andrew also frequently prepares and implements estate planning and asset protection plans, and counsels clients and families on trust and estate administration matters.
He was admitted to practice in all Ohio courts in 2005, and admitted to the U.S. District Court, N.D. of Ohio in 2006. Andrew spent the first years of his career as a Staff Attorney assisting in civil litigation review at the Cuyahoga County Common Pleas Court, prior to joining Malone Law, LLC in 2008.
Some of his recent matters have included: the successful resolution of a shareholder dispute involving a close corporation; the preparation and implementation of buy-sell and recapitalization transactions for business owners; advising on commercial real estate acquisitions and dispositions; the successful resolution of probate and real estate litigation; commercial loan workouts; and obtaining a jury award in a construction breach of contract and fraud case.
